preservearchives:

Caring for our nation’s records means keeping them in proper housing. When a NARA facility anywhere in the country needs protection for a bound volume of unusual size or shape, they contact Preservation Program Specialist Pam Kirschner. Pam takes the dimensions of the record and then, in collaboration with our Conservation Lab, designs and constructs a custom “house.” Pam recently received a request for a 50 lb. volume!

Go Team!  Big records need love too!
